I believe that the Super Eight would be my choice for continued driving, in fact I've driven them many uninterrupted miles consistantly. The bore is 5" and gives excellent low end torque. You can slow down to almost a crawl and pick the car up in high gear. The 12 is both more expensive to buy, more expensive to maintain, and is requires more constant adjusting if you chose to drive it daily, (just try diagnosing which plug fouled/plug wire problem, on the road) and you'll see what I mean!
