Who wants an original brass doorknob from the Cadillac building in Detroit?
I have a solid brass doorknob, with rod and interior thumbknob, which was removed from the Cadillac Building in downtown Detroit during a remodeling in the '60's, I think. It has the Cadillac Shield cast in to the face of the knob, still has most of the original paint, which matches the old tall shield which was originally on the crest of the building. I'll work on getting some photos if anybody's interested. I've had it for years, looking for an appropriately appreciative Cadillac collector.

Those are fantastic. I have one myself, from the Book-Cadillac Hotel in Detroit. They are really beautiful with a great deal of detail. The crests are really quite impressive on the handle. Do you still have both sides of the doorknob and the plate?
